A world to be built

In the eyes of Mathieu Cléroux, the founder of MDM Construction, the world doesn’t end at the edge of a local worksite. Concerned about giving his company a coherent social commitment, this young entrepreneur in his early 30s has been organizing humanitarian cooperation missions abroad for several years, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Canada`s Global Village program.

Mathieu has organized several trips bringing together 10 to 20 volunteers to take part in construction projects with the aim of providing shelter to local families. Up to now, four actions of this type have been conducted in different countries: El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Mongolia and Argentina.

A mission is planned for Cambodia in July 2012.
